How BMW N54 Tuners Got Started

BMW N54 Tuners was started by Zach & Jake out of their passion for BMW’s, and more specifically the tune-ability of the N54 engine. Prior to starting this site, we (Zach & Jake) owned and managed an online BMW parts store that sold OEM and aftermarket parts. After running the site for 4 years, we decided to narrow our focus from the overall BMW market to the N54 market only. While this site sells a select few N54 specific parts, the main purpose of this website is to share information related to the maintenance, tuning, and modding of the N54 engine. The parts sold here are sourced from our prior connections in the industry, and are limited to OEM parts. We don’t sell anything that we wouldn’t put on our own cars.

Our Purpose: Spread N54 Knowledge

BMW N54 Tuners is an online community of BMW enthusiasts with a passion for modding and tuning the twin-turbocharged N54 engine. The goal of this site is to include articles on various aspects of tuning and modifying the N54 engine, with guides that range from basic bolt-on tuning to advanced technical tuning and everything in between. While our community is starting small, we welcome all N54 owners and enthusiasts to get involved and join us. We want this site to be a one-stop-shop for learning everything about the N54 engine and its tuning capabilities. Contact us if you are interested in joining our community and writing about N54’s!

I just recently purchased my Oner in May of 2017. It is a 6spd manual and with only 33k miles on the odo, it is about as clean as a 9 year old car gets. I have slowly started modding the car, with big plans coming in the near future (once I start my new job). Currently the car has BMW dual cone intakes, BMS cowl filters, and matte black kidney grills. I’m in the infant stages, but the long-term goal is 600hp. Stay tuned on the blog to see my progress towards 600hp.

Hey guys, for the past three years I have been driving an N54 powered 335i. My car is currently running a JB4, BMS dual cone intakes, VRSF downpipes, and matte black grills. I have toyed around with various other modifications and tunes, but blew my OEM turbos around 80k miles and have played it safe since then. Now that Jake is searching for 600hp, my goal is to have more than him, so let the competition begin.
